Axe Soccer Camp 2023 Staff
Jaime Aquayo
Camp Director
Jaime is the Women's head Soccer coach at South Eugene High School, coaches club soccer at Eugene Metro Futbol Club and is a middle school teacher in math, science and ethnic studies at the Bethel School District. Jaime graduated from Northwest Christian University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education, where he played soccer as well.

Ty Ohrtman
Camp Director
Ty grew up in Eugene and participated in youth soccer through Kidsports and played soccer at South Eugene Highschool, graduating in 1994. He is the boys JV soccer coach at South, previously coached soccer for Kidsports and was the head coach for the Churchill boys program. Ty currently directs the Discovery Program at EMFC and has directed Axe Soccer Camp for the past 4 years.
Ruby Daniels
Assistant Director
Ruby is a NWAC all-star outside forward/defense player for LCC, and will be playing for Bushnell University this fall. She started playing soccer at age 5 at Kidsports, then EMFC and South Eugene Highschool. She went to Charlemagne elementary and Roosevelt Middle Schools. Ruby was a counselor at Axe Soccer campo for three years, after attending as a camper.
Jessie Hawes
Assistant Director
Jessie is a Division 1 center back player at St. Mary’s California, where she was just awarded best defensive player in her freshman year. She is also currently playing on the Lane United women's preprofessional team. Jessie attended Camas Ridge and Roosevelt Middle School, then graduated from South Eugene High School where she was the MVP and captain of the Women's Varsity soccer team. She started playing soccer at age 5, eventually with Elite Clubs National league in Portland. She attended Axe Soccer Camp as a camper, then as a counselor for three years. She has also coached and worked as referee at OYSA.
Thomas Case
Assistant Director
Tommy is now playing at the University of Alabama, Birmingham while pursuing a masters degree. Previously he played Division 1 Soccer at Seattle University and U Mass, where he graduated last December. This season he is also the captain of the Lane United men's preprofessional team. He grew up playing soccer from age 5, eventually with the Eugene Metros and both the Timbers and Sounders academies in high school. Tommy attended Parker, Adams and Roosevelt, and South Eugene Highschool and was a camper at Axe Soccer Camp. He has been coaching at Eugene Metros during the summers and winters since he was a senior in high school.
Lily Lauderbach
Assistant Director
Lily is currently coaching for EMFC. She attended Charlemagne and Roosevelt schools, graduated from South Eugene High School in 2021where she was the captain of the South Eugene Girls Varsity Soccer team. She attended Axe Soccer camp as a camper and was a counselor for three years.
